UP BJP asks office bearers to step up booth, digital outreach
Lucknow, July 12 -- The Uttar Pradesh BJP on Saturday asked its office bearers to intensify booth-level outreach, strengthen organisational activities and ensure the effective implementation of upcoming campaigns, including a statewide plantation drive, digital booth training and programmes to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The directions were issued at a meeting of state office-bearers held at the BJP's state headquarters under the chairmanship of state president Pankaj Chaudhary, in the presence of state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh.
Addressing the meeting, Chaudhary said the BJP's greatest strength was its dedicated cadre and robust booth organisation, describing booth-level workers as the party's "real warriors" in elections. Dharampal Singh stressed that the BJP remained a booth-based organisation and said strengthening booths should remain the party's top priority. He directed office-bearers to maintain regular contact with primary and active members, former office-bearers, elected representatives and grassroots workers.
On the party's digital booth training campaign, Singh said it would help equip workers with technology and strengthen communication of the party's ideology, government achievements and welfare initiatives. He asked office bearers to ensure that more workers at every booth completed digital training through the party's app.
The meeting also decided that Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26 would be observed across Uttar Pradesh with programmes to pay tribute to martyred soldiers, honour ex-servicemen and inspire patriotism among the youth....
