Varanasi, May 11 -- Union minister of science and technology (independent charge) Jitendra Singh on Sunday commended the Sophisticated Analytical & Technical Help Institute at Banaras Hindu University (SATHI-BHU) for its growing contribution to the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' mission and its role in supporting high-end research. During his visit to the flagship national initiative of the department of science and technology (DST), Dr Singh emphasised the institute's potential as a hub for fostering indigenous innovation and suggested mobilising corporate social responsibility (CSR) partnerships to strengthen infrastructural and training initiatives. BHU vice-chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi expressed gratitude to the ministry of science and technology for selecting the university as one of the five institutions in the country-and the only university-to implement the SATHI programme.
