Union finance minister praises UP's ISSA model, commends state govt's innovations
Lucknow, July 25 -- Under the government of India's Integrated Scheme in Skilling Architecture (ISSA), Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh presented detailed reports on their respective states to the Union finance minister, in New Delhi, on Friday, said PIB, Uttar Pradesh.
Following the presentation, the Union finance minister praised the Yogi government's comprehensive and convergence-based skill development model, calling it an effective initiative developed through the coordination of various departments.
On behalf of Uttar Pradesh, Hariom, principal secretary, department of vocational education, skill development, and entrepreneurship, presented the Yogi government's integrated skill development model. This presentation detailed innovations such as the State Internship Scheme, Kaushal Mandir, industry-based training, strengthening of the Rozgar Sangam Portal, career counselling, apprenticeship expansion, and the school-industry cluster model, integrating everything from school education to higher education, skill development, apprenticeships, industry participation, employment, and entrepreneurship. The Union finance minister specifically lauded the state government's suggestion to encourage on-the-job training, internships, and industry visits for students in Classes 11 and 12,....
