LUCKNOW, Sept. 3 -- Doctors serving under bond in Uttar Pradesh will get a uniform pay scale, with a government order on the issue to be issued by Thursday, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak said on Wednesday while meeting protesting medicos in Lucknow. Pathak visited Atal Chowk in Hazratganj, where doctors from the medical health and medical education department were protesting over salary-related demands. He met the doctors, heard their grievances and assured them that a uniform pay scale would be implemented. He also issued instructions to concerned officials over the phone from the protest site. "You are all part of my family. Your dignity, rights and interests are our top priority. We will not allow any injustice," Pathak told the protesting doctors....
