LUCKNOW, Aug. 28 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new website to help farmers and exporters connect horticultural produce with international markets and promote value addition in the sector. The portal, launched at the second meeting of the State Horticulture Export Promotion Board, will provide district-wise information on exportable crops, destination countries, quality standards and export procedures. Horticulture minister Dinesh Pratap Singh said the platform would make it easier for farmers to access global markets. The meeting, attended by farmers, exporters and farmer producer organisations (FPOs) from all 75 districts, also saw several MoUs signed between exporters and FPOs. The state currently has around 3,000 active exporters. Horticulture exports increased from Rs.727 crore in 2016-17 to Rs.1,132 crore in 2025-26, reaching more than 20 countries, including the US, UAE, Germany and the UK. The government plans an Integrated Testing and Treatment Park near Jewar Airport to speed up air cargo shipments.
