Two students killed in early morning bike crash in Baghpat
Meerut, April 26 -- Two teenagers died after their motorcycle crashed into a gate near a petrol pump on the Rataul-Loni road in the Rataul area of Baghpat district in the early hours of Saturday. Both, students of the Hafiz-e-Quran programme at Madrasa Mohsin-ul-Uloom, were on the way to the madrasa.
The victims have been identified as 16-year-old Shahzad, son of Shakeel, and 14-year-old Ayan, son of Shahzad, both residents of Rataul, said additional superintendent of police Praveen Singh Chauhan.
According to locals, the teenagers had set out on a motorcycle ride around 3:30 am. They were accompanied by two other youths riding a separate bike. After reaching near a petrol pump on the Rataul-Loni route, the group began their return journey. It was during this time that the motorcycle carrying Shahzad and Ayan went out of control near a roadside gate and rammed into it.
The impact of the collision threw both boys into a nearby drain, leaving them critically injured, and later both succumbed to their injuries on the way, ASP Chauhan said....
