AGRA, Oct. 4 -- Two people were charred to death early Saturday morning after the dumper truck they were travelling in collided with a container truck on the Agra-Aligarh road in Agra district. The victims were identified as Aakash and Karua, both residents of Mania town in Dholpur district, Rajasthan. Their bodies were severely charred in the intense fire because they could not escape the burning vehicle. The accident, which occurred within the limits of the Khandoli police station, was reportedly triggered while the dumper driver was attempting to avoid hitting a motorcyclist. Devesh Singh, assistant commissioner of police (ACP) for the Etmadpur circle, stated that police were alerted to the collision at approximately 6 am. "Upon arrival, officials found both vehicles engulfed in flames," Singh said. "Fire tenders were deployed to conduct rescue operations. Although the driver and cleaner of the dumper were pulled from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby health centre, they were declared dead on arrival." The driver of the container truck and the motorcyclist sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment. Traffic on the highway was restored following the clearance of the wreckage....
