Triple Talaq, acid attack victims to get housing scheme benefits
Lucknow, June 10 -- The women affected by serious social hardships such as Triple Talaq and acid attacks are set to receive housing scheme benefits that ensure them a dignified life. The government is preparing to provide benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana to these women.
Preparations have also begun to extend the benefits of all these schemes to destitute women, said officials.
On the instructions of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the women welfare department has initiated action at the departmental level. The department is collecting detailed data of women affected by Triple Talaq and acid attacks, along with destitute women, so that eligible beneficiaries can be given the benefits of these schemes on a priority basis.
The CM also directed that these women and their families be linked with the Ayushman Bharat Scheme and the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana so that they can avail quality healthcare services.
The process of preparing the necessary guidelines and government order (GO) at the government level is also underway. The women welfare department initiated the collection of verified details of the affected women.
Based on this data, beneficiaries will be identified and linked to various welfare schemes. The objective of this move is to ensure that no eligible woman is deprived of government schemes due to lack of information or procedural complexities....
