Kanpur, March 11 -- Three people of a family were found dead in a pool of blood inside a locked house in Fatehpur's Sadar Kotwali area on Wednesday evening. Sushila, 55, and her son Amar, 28, were found dead at the scene. Amar's uncle, Sunil Kumar Srivastava alias Guddu, 40, was still breathing when neighbours broke open the door, but he died shortly after being rushed to the district hospital before doctors could begin treatment. The three had been alone since the afternoon. Sushil Kumar Srivastava, Sushila's husband and Amar's father, had gone to visit his daughter at her in laws' home elsewhere in town. Around 5 pm, he began calling home but nobody answered. He returned and found the front door bolted from the inside and raised an alarm.Neighbours helped force open the door open. Inside, they found the three family members lying on the floor, with Amar and Sushila already dead and Sunil barely conscious. SHO, Kotwali, Hemant Mishra said preliminary investigations pointed to a mutual altercation. "All three appear to have attacked each other with blades," he said.
