PRAYAGRAJ, June 17 -- Three elderly members of the same family were murdered in Nibi Kukurkatwa village under the Meja police station area of Prayagraj's trans-Yamuna region in the wee hours of Tuesday. The blood-soaked bodies were discovered on Tuesday morning. Police said the victims were attacked with sharp-edged and heavy weapons while they were asleep. Their bodies were found inside the house and in the adjoining courtyard. The deceased were identified as Shyamlal Gupta alias Kallu, 65, who ran a grocery shop, Indrawati Devi, 60, wife of late Doodhnath Gupta, and Amarawati Devi, 55, wife of Nimbulal Gupta. Phoolkali Devi, 60, wife of Shyamlal Gupta, was found in a distressed state inside the house. Police said she is mentally unstable and was not harmed by the assailants. P2...
