PRAYAGRAJ, May 25 -- Three boys, aged 11 and 12, allegedly abducted a 6-year-old girl who was playing in an orchard near her home and dragged her into a nearby restroom and sexually assaulted her in Pratapgarh on Saturday. The girl informed her parents about the incident after which her father filed a formal complaint. The police detained the three minor accused individuals and after presenting them before the court, they were sent to juvenile home. The incident occurred under Udaipur police station in Pratapgarh. As per the reports, in a village near Darra Bazaar within the Udaipur police station jurisdiction, the parents left their 6-year-old daughter and eight-year-old son alone at home to attend a social gathering at 3pm on Saturday. The son also stepped out of the house after the parents left, while the daughter went to play in an orchard located approximately 200 metres away. She returned home in the late evening, but her parents did not arrive until late at night. However when they arrived, upon seeing their daughter's condition, they were deeply distressed. When questioned, the child revealed that three adolescents from the same village had taken her from the orchard into a restroom where they sexually assaulted her. When the child's mother confronted the families of the accused, they rebuked her and drove her away. The parents then went to the police station and filed a case of sexual assault, specifically naming the three minors; the police subsequently detained them. The victim has been sent for a medical examination. After being produced in court, the accused individuals were sent to a juvenile reform home. In-charge station officer and trainee IPS officer Mohd Aftab Alam said that the three minors, aged 11 and 12, have committed an act of sexual assault against a girl who was playing in an orchard.
