MEERUT, May 31 -- A court in Bulandshahr on Saturday sentenced three men to life imprisonment for murdering a youth during a wedding celebration in the Jahangirabad area. Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Nasheem convicted the trio and imposed a fine of Rs.66,000 on each. The incident took place on December 15, 2022, during a wedding ceremony at a farmhouse on the Ahar Bypass in Jahangirabad. Mahendra alias Rinku had attended the wedding when a dispute reportedly erupted over dancing to DJ music. The prosecution said the argument turned violent, with the accused allegedly assaulting him with sticks and a knife. He suffered grievous injuries and later succumbed to them. Following the incident, the victim's brother, Kunwarpal alias Bablu, filed a complaint at the Jahangirabad police station.
