TGT exam concludes; over 4.34l candidates appear
PRAYAGRAJ, June 5 -- The second and final day of the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) written examination, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), concluded peacefully and transparently on Thursday, officials said.
The examination, held under Advertisement No. 01/2022 for recruitment to TGT posts in 15 subjects, was conducted under the continuous surveillance of an AI-integrated Control and Command Centre established at the commission's headquarters in Prayagraj.
UPESSC chairman Prashant Kumar said that examinations for English, Home Science, Biology, and Instrumental Music were held during the first shift at 504 centres, while Sanskrit, Commerce, and Art papers were conducted in the second shift at 471 centres. These examinations took place across designated centres in 36 districts of UP.
According to the commission, 2,21,489 candidates appeared for the examination on June 3, while 2,12,975 candidates took the test on June 4. Altogether, 4,34,464 candidates appeared over the two days....
