Agra, Sept. 11 -- A teenage girl from Auriyya district, went missing from State Girls Protection Home in Vrindavan, reportedly taking advantage of the doors of the protection home left open, on Wednesday. Search was on for the missing girl on Thursday and action was to be initiated against the guilty with lodging of FIR, stated Sandeep Singh, deputy SP for Vrindavan circle of Mathura district. Reportedly, a hawker arrived at the protection home with a gas cylinder and left the door open which gave ample time and opportunity for the girl to escape. "Search has been lodged for the missing girl. FIR is being lodged at Vrindavan police station and those found guilty will face action for negligence and lapse," said the Deputy SP on Thursday. This State's Girls Protection Home was in news last month also when a 14-year-old girl was found dead. Earlier on August 21, a 14-year-old girl was found dead in the bathroom of this State's Girls Protection Home in Vrindavan and five inmates were booked and named in the FIR lodged the next day. The deceased had joined the protection home in June and was found dead on August 21 following which the body was sent for autopsy. The report cited drowning as the cause of death.
