Teenage brothers electrocuted while repairing handpump in Firozabad
Agra, June 25 -- Two brothers died after being electrocuted when the pipe of handpump they were repairing touched the overhead high tension electricity line in village Nagla Naujar within the limits of Fariha police station of Firozabad on Tuesday evening.
The tragedy struck the family of Dinesh Chand who resides in Delhi for his sweets business while his two sons, Ankit (17) and Anshul (15) along with their mother Pinki Devi resided in village Nagla Naujar within the limits of Fariha police station of Firozabad. The handpump at the house was defective since past few days and thus Ankit and Anshul were joined by their mother as they decided to repair the handpump. They three were placing pipes in iron boring when the upper tip of the pipe touched the high tension line.
This led to electrocution of both the brothers who were rushed to nearby private hospital but were declared brought dead while mother Pinki Devi was under treatment.
Ankit was student of class 12th while Anshul was studying in class 10th. Their deaths spread grief in the village and father Dinesh Chand was informed about the tragic loss. Villagers claimed that overhead high tension wires were loose and were hanging at lower height than routine which, according to villagers, led to the tragedy....
