Teen girl dies by suicide at govt reform home

Police said the staff immediately rushed the girl to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Police later reached the spot and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
District probation officer Pankaj Kumar Mishra stated that higher authorities were immediately informed about the incident. District magistrate Satyendra Kumar has ordered an inquiry to determine the circumstances that led the girl to take the extreme step.

As the girl refused to live with her stepmother, the police contacted the Child Welfare Society, where she stayed until September 2025. She was later shifted to the government girls' reform home in Ramnagar.
