Teen found dead; kin blame examination cancellation stress
LUCKNOW, June 18 -- An 18-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide at her home in Aishbagh Railway Colony with her family linking the tragedy to prolonged depression after the cancellation of the medical entrance exam she had appeared for.
The body of the daughter of a railway travelling ticket examiner (TTE) was found hanging in her room.
According to police, she had cleared Class 12 recently and was considered a bright and disciplined student. "Her parents told us she was dedicated to her studies and had spent an entire year preparing for NEET. She was confident of doing well," SHO Brajesh Singh said. However, the examination's cancellation allegedly left her disheartened.
Family members told police that she became withdrawn in recent weeks and often expressed anxiety about her future....
