Agra, May 26 -- A 16-year-old boy from Firozabad died after falling from a 45-foot high zipline (ropeway) at Chaupati, an amusement park in Agra city on Sunday evening, police said. The snapping of the zipline hook is suspected to have caused the mishap at Taj Nagari Phase II here. Following the incident, two individuals - the safety incharge at the amusement park and the manager of a Delhi-based company contracted to run the facility- were arrested and a case was registered at the Tajganj police station here, officials said. "Two have been arrested, including the manager at Chaupati for EOD Adventure, Santosh Kumar Dubey and Abhishek Kumar, the safety incharge at the zipline. They were presented before the Agra court on Monday and sent to jail. Investigations are on into the role of others, including the owner of a company in Delhi," said deputy commissioner of police (City) Syed Ali Abbas. The Tajganj police station received information at 6pm on Sunday that a teenage boy, a student of Class 11, had fallen from a ropeway at Chaupati and was seriously injured, said additional deputy commissioner of police (Crime) Himanshu Gaurav. "Police from Tajganj police station reached the spot and rushed the injured boy, identified as Kunal Agarwal, from Firozabad, to the emergency ward of the SN Medical College and Hospital, but doctors there declared him dead," the ADCP added. "Initial information suggests that the breaking of a hook was the cause of the incident," Himanshu Gaurav said. The case was registered under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita on Sunday night on the complaint of Pankaj Kumar Agarwal, the boy's father, against the owner and staff members of EOD Adventure Park (Vision Amusement Park Private Limited), a Delhi-based company contracted by the Agra Development Authority to run the amusement park. Kunal was allegedly not provided a helmet and there was no protective mat underneath the zipline. "My son fell down due to the hook of the zipline crumbling and died because of negligence on the part of the company running the zipline, which failed to comply with safety norms," alleged Agarwal, a bangle trader from Firozabad. A Delhi-based company was awarded the contract for running the amusement park, said M. Arunmozhi, the ADA vice-chairperson....
