Surviving the heatwave: Lucknowites urged to focus on thermosteel bottles and electrolyte-rich beverages
India, April 26 -- Lucknow is currently experiencing an intense heatwave, with temperatures ranging 41degC to 42.5degC as of April 24-25, leading to a "tandoor-like" atmosphere. The city is enduring maximum temperatures exceeding 40degC, with some areas approaching 45degC, leading to schools being dismissed by 12:30 p.m. for classes up to a certain grade.
Medical practitioner, Dr GM Qureshi from Sehar Hospital, advices. "It's a tough time be it for kids or elderly, Choosing the right bottle in summer is also as important say no to plastic in this weather at least. Then keeping hydrated is the key to what we can see. It's getting worse, so it's important to understand water is your best buddy, but there are multiple other drinks that are good for kids to keep them hydrated and energized as well. A bottle of coconut water, lemonade, and mint and cucumber drink can be a bonus."
