Suresh Khanna, Rajeshwar launch campaign
LUCKNOW, July 2 -- On the occasion of Doctors' Day, a "Aarogya Parv - Doctors' Day dialogue and felicitation ceremony" was organised in Sarojininagar which was attended by finance and parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Khanna and Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh.
The programme began with tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr BC Roy and marked the launch of the "Net Zero Hospital, Sarojini Nagar" campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Khanna said that doctors play a vital role in nation-building and praised their dedication to public service. He noted that UP has significantly expanded medical education and healthcare infrastructure.
He highlighted preventive healthcare, timely diagnosis, healthy lifestyles and stronger specialist services as key priorities for the future. He also called for developing Lucknow as a major national and international medical tourism hub.
MLA Rajeshwar Singh said, "Doctors are not merely professionals; they are among the finest servants of humanity." He stressed that healthcare must increasingly focus on prevention through regular health screening, physical activity, balanced nutrition, yoga and public awareness.
Singh said that the Net Zero Hospital campaign is not only about greener hospitals, but about creating healthcare institutions that are energy-efficient, environmentally responsible and technologically advanced....
