LUCKNOW, Feb. 28 -- Amiphoria-2026 - the three-day annual cultural festival of Amity University, Lucknow Campus - concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony, a high-energy Sufi Night and a thought-provoking Kavi Sammelan, drawing participation from more than 7,000 students, the university stated in a release. The university used the cultural festival as a platform to promote holistic development by blending cultural expression, literary engagement and technical innovation under one roof. Students from various departments competed in dozens of events, reflecting the institution's focus on talent, leadership and creativity beyond classrooms, it stated. During the valedictory ceremony, Prof (Dr) Anil Vashisht, pro vice-chancellor, commended students and faculty members for their dedication and teamwork. He distributed prizes, certificates and mementoes to winners and said such platforms help students build confidence and collaborative skills. Wing commander (Dr) Anil Kumar Tiwari, deputy pro vice-chancellor; Dr Rajesh Tiwari, dean (academics) and Dr Rajeev Varma, chairman, Amiphoria-2026, attended the event along with senior faculty members. The third day's major highlight remained the Kavi Sammelan, where noted poets from across UP and Madhya Pradesh presented ghazals and 'nazms' that resonated strongly with the audience. Students responded with loud applause to verses centred around love, social realities and human emotions. The festival concluded with a mesmerising Sufi Night by 'Saadgi' - The Sufi Band. The band performed popular Sufi classics including 'Dama Dam Mast Kalandar' and 'Chaap Tilak Sab Chhini Re', turning the campus into a vibrant musical arena. Singers Kumar Sunny and Vinit engaged the crowd, who sang along and illuminated the venue with phone flashlights.
