LUCKNOW, July 20 -- Study Hall School hosted the 14th edition of the Study Hall Model United Nations (SHMUN) on July 18 and 19, bringing together more than 430 student delegates from 20 schools across Lucknow. The two-day conference provided a platform for students to debate global issues, negotiate solutions and hone their skills in diplomacy, leadership, critical thinking and public speaking. The conference concluded with a valedictory ceremony attended by chief guest Abdul Hamid, inspector general, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Lucknow. Also present were Urvashi Sahni, founder-CEO of the Study Hall Educational Foundation; principal Meenakshi Bahadur; vice-principal Prachi Saxena; and others. Secretary general Azhaan Rahman formally inaugurated the conference. Participating schools included Seth MR Jaipuria School, La Martiniere Girls' College, Army Public School, Nehru Road, GD Goenka Public School, Kunskapsskolan School and others. Delegates participated in committees addressing historical, political and contemporary global issues through debate and consensus-building. Kanishka Sharma of Study Hall School said the conference helped participants understand diverse perspectives, while Pranshika Singh of Loreto Convent praised its organisation and engaging debates.
