Dehradun, Oct. 2 -- The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has developed a "Cyber Portal Hub" to help citizens access official cybercrime reporting platforms, digital payment grievance services and online safety resources through a single platform, with a focus on cybercrimes involving women and children. The hub, available at cyberportalhub.org, consolidates links to various government portals and online services. STF officials said the initiative was developed after they observed that many citizens were unaware of the appropriate platforms for reporting cybercrimes and seeking assistance. Ajai Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, STF Uttarakhand, said finding the correct platform and filing complaints could be particularly difficult for people with limited digital literacy. The hub provides direct access to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP), where complaints related to cybercrime, including offences against women and children, can be lodged. It also provides links for reporting sexually explicit content, child sexual abuse material and other objectionable content circulated online. For children below 18 whose nude, partially nude or sexually explicit images have been circulated or are under threat of circulation, the platform links to "Take It Down", a service aimed at preventing further spread of such images. For adults whose intimate images have been shared without consent, it links to StopNCII.org, which helps participating platforms detect and restrict the sharing of such content using digital fingerprints. The platform also consolidates official links relating to banking, digital payments, telecom services, social media, e-commerce and consumer grievances. It includes access to services concerning Reserve Bank of India complaints, UPI-related issues and the management of active UPI AutoPay or recurring payment mandates.
