STF arrests wanted murder suspect with Rs 50,000 bounty in Agra
AGRA, Sept. 12 -- A Special Task Force (STF) arrested a wanted murder suspect carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 in the Jaitpur area of Agra on Thursday evening. The accused, identified as Raman, is a native of Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh and had been evading arrest. According to a press statement released by the Lucknow STF office, authorities received credible intelligence regarding Raman's presence at a bus stand in Jaitpur. A joint operation was launched, involving local police from Jaitpur and the station in-charge of Bamroli Katara, resulting in his successful capture.
During interrogation, Raman reportedly confessed to the crime.
He revealed that he, along with accomplices including Golu, Nanu Gurjar and others, intercepted a car carrying Avneesh Yadav and Upendra Yadav on June 1, 2026. The attack, allegedly motivated by a personal enmity held by his associate Golu, resulted in Avneesh Yadav's murder.
A case has been registered at the Jaitpur police station under the Arms Act and multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 103(1), 109(1), 126(2), 190, 191(2), 191(3), 351(3), 352, 61(2) and 3(5)....
