LUCKNOW, Aug. 24 -- The UP Special Task Force (STF) on Sunday arrested a candidate for allegedly attempting to cheat in the UPSSSC Combined Lower Subordinate Services (Graduate Level) Main examination using a SIM-based Bluetooth device, senior STF officials said in a press note. Brijesh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Prayagraj, was arrested at Dayanand Kanya Inter College in Mahanagar, Lucknow, around 11.15 am on Sunday. The STF recovered a bluetooth device with associated equipment, mobile phone, admit card, Aadhaar card, OMR sheet and the original question paper from him. During interrogation, Yadav allegedly told the STF that Ramesh Chandra Patel of Prayagraj had supplied the device to enable him to receive answers during the examination. He allegedly paid Patel Rs.10 lakh in advance and concealed the device in his underwear. Patel had also allegedly provided him a vest with a specially stitched pocket to hide the device. The STF is probing Patel's alleged role in facilitating cheating in other examinations.
