Dehradun, Sept. 27 -- The Central government has approved additional power allocation to Uttarakhand from the unallocated pool of central sector power generation stations to meet the state's rising electricity demand during the winter season. Officials said the additional allocation will be available to Uttarakhand from October 2026 to March 2027 and will come into effect from October 1, 2026.
