Lucknow, May 26 -- The Uttar Pradesh Appointment and Personnel Department has relaxed the selection of examination centers for recruitments carried out by various commissions and selection boards from a 10km radius of the bus stand, railway station and treasury to 30 km radius. In a letter to the UP Public Service Commission, UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission, UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, and UP Education Services Selection Commission,, Principal Secretary, Appointment and Personnel Department, M Devraj, said that guidelines have been issued for conducting the selection process by various recruitment commissions and selection boards in the state in a transparent and fair manner. In an order dated June 19, 2024, the state government had ordered that examination centers for recruitments conducted by various commissions and boards should be selected within a radius of 10 km from the bus stand, railway station and treasury located in the city, he said. After due consideration, the standard provided in June 19, 2024 order - the 10-km radius from the bus stand/railway station/treasury-has been relaxed and a 30-km radius has been determined for the selection of examination centers....
