Lucknow, June 15 -- Major Dhyan Chand Sports University, Meerut, has opened online admissions for undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Applications can be submitted through the university website till July 10. New courses include B.Sc. Yoga, M.Sc. Yoga and a PG Diploma in Sports Journalism and Mass Communication. The university is also launching PG diploma programmes in seven sports disciplines under its School of Coaching. Admissions will be based on Class 12 marks and a fitness test. Outstanding sportspersons, including international athletes and national-level medal winners, will be eligible for direct admission. An additional 10% seats have been reserved for meritorious athletes. Vice-Chancellor Major General Deep Ahlawat said, "From the academic session 2026-27, the university will offer 9 diploma programmes, 2 undergraduate programmes and 1 postgraduate programme, taking the total number of new courses to 12."...
