LUCKNOW, May 13 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Tuesday alleged that the "real character and reprehensible mindset" of the Samajwadi Party (SP) had once again been exposed. He said the "indecent and insulting" remarks allegedly made by SP spokesperson Rajkumar Bhati against the Brahmin community were condemnable and reflected the party's mindset. "It is extremely unfortunate to use such language against the Brahmin community, which has guided the country in knowledge, culture, the Constitution and nation-building," Pathak said. The deputy CM further alleged that the SP had repeatedly made statements against Sanatan traditions, saints and social harmony. He referred to past controversies involving SP leaders, including remarks allegedly made by senior leader Azam Khan, statements by former SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya regarding the Ramcharitmanas, and alleged comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary.
