SP functionaries submit plaint seeking FIR against BJP leader
Lucknow, July 8 -- Two Samajwadi Party (SP) functionaries on Tuesday submitted a complaint at Hazratganj police station seeking registration of an FIR against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and social media user Saravanaprasad Balasubramanian over alleged defamatory posts on 'X' linking SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to an accused in the Ram Mandir donation theft case.
The complaint was filed by SP spokesperson Manoj Singh Kaka and Lohiya Vahini national vice-president Ankur Pandey.
It alleges the accused published and circulated "false, fabricated and defamatory" content suggesting the SP chief had links with Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav, who has been arrested in the case and is currently in judicial custody.
They requested police to register a case. SHO Hazratganj, Vikram Singh, said that they received an application and a probe was being conducted....
