Lucknow, Aug. 13 -- The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department on Wednesday inaugurated smart classrooms in five Jayaprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalayas. The initiative, rolled out in partnership with a private firm under a Rs.35-crore CSR project, aims to equip students with technology-driven learning tools and prepare them for the demands of the digital age. The inauguration and interaction programme was held at Bhagidari Bhawan in Gomti Nagar. Social Welfare Minister (Independent Charge) Aseem Arun lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion. It was informed that the state currently runs 103 Sarvodaya schools. Under the pilot phase, one smart classroom each has been established at schools in Nidori (Ghaziabad), Badnaura (Bulandshahr), Hastinapur (Meerut), Bareilly and Pilibhit. These classrooms are fitted with smart boards, interactive smart panels, dual air-conditioners and wooden flooring. Speaking on the occasion, Aseem Arun said the move goes beyond simply changing teaching methods. "Our goal is to connect every student with modern technology and quality education so that they are fully prepared for future challenges and global competition," he remarked....
