Agra, May 27 -- Six cattle thieves were arrested by Mathura police during an encounter on Monday. Three of the accused were injured in the operation. The arrests were made jointly by police from Jait police station and surveillance team of Mathura police. The media cell of the Mathura police said that police were in search of accused of cattle theft after case was registered as crime case no 336 of 2026 and 378 of 2026 under section 305 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Jait police station of Mathura. Those arrested were identified as Deepak, Jassi, Ritik, Sagar, Anil and Sumit. Deepak, Jassi and Ritik were injured in police encounter and were hospitalised.
