LUCKNOW, May 7 -- Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday held a detailed dialogue with progressive exporters, directors, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders from Uttar Pradesh under the "Fruit Horizon 2026" initiative. The Union minister stated that understanding and addressing ground-level issues was crucial for advancing the fruit sector. He stated that exporters and farmers have openly raised important issues such as research, GST, and freight, which the government is seriously addressing. He also informed that a special team of scientists has been formed to work on improving both production and quality through research and innovation.
