PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 13 -- The path for the construction of a 550-bed super-speciality hospital in Naini has been cleared following an agreement between the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) and a Gurugram-based private group. Estimated to cost around Rs 150 crore, the project will be developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and is expected to be completed within two to three years. The agreement was approved during the Mini Sadan on Friday. Under its terms, the Municipal Corporation will provide 12,000 square metres of land and contribute 50 percent of the project cost, while the private entity will undertake the development and operation of the facility. Officials stated that the hospital will offer treatment and diagnostic services across 12 specialised medical disciplines, significantly enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region. Municipal Commissioner Sai Teja announced that 50 beds would be reserved for Municipal Corporation employees and elected representatives, who will also be entitled to cashless treatment facilities.
