RPF registers case over stone-pelting at moving goods train
PRAYAGRAJ, July 22 -- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has registered a case against unidentified people after verifying a viral social media video purportedly showing stones being hurled at a moving goods train near Rambagh in Prayagraj.
A dedicated team has been constituted to trace the accused, and appropriate legal action will be initiated once they are identified, officials said.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media on July 18. The following day, a youth posted the clip on X and lodged a complaint with the Railways, prompting authorities to initiate an inquiry.
During the preliminary investigation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) verified the authenticity of the viral video and corroborated other facts related to the incident.
