RMLIMS proposes recruitment of over 1K healthcare staff
LUCKNOW, March 13 -- Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences has proposed the recruitment of around 1,013 healthcare personnel, including 150 doctors and 863 nursing officers, technicians and other staff, to strengthen medical services at the institute.
Institute director, Prof CM Singh said on Thursday that the administration has prepared a detailed proposal and submitted it to the state government for approval.
Once cleared, advertisements will be issued and the recruitment process will begin.
The additional manpower is expected to support new facilities coming up at the institute's campus on Shaheed Path. A 100-bed critical care ward under construction there is likely to start treating patients by December this year, Prof Singh said.
He further said that the upcoming unit will provide comprehensive treatment and diagnostic services, reducing the need for patients to visit the institute's main campus.
Singh added that plans are also underway to operationalise an advanced transplant unit at the facility. Work has simultaneously begun to expand the emergency department by 40 beds to improve the hospital's capacity to handle critical cases....
