Rly employee booked for sexual assault on wife
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 2 -- Police have registered a case against a railway assistant loco pilot and seven members of his family following allegations of sexual assault, physical abuse and dowry harassment by his wife.
The woman, a resident of the Paschimsharira area, in Kaushambi alleged that she married Sudhanshu Vishwakarma of Pandemau, Bharwari, on November 22, 2024. According to her complaint, her husband, an assistant loco pilot in Banda district, began sexually assaulting her within days of their marriage. She alleged that he abused and assaulted her when she resisted. The complainant further alleged that her in-laws assaulted her when she raised the matter with them and demanded a bigger four-wheeler, land and cash as additional dowry.
She alleged that on May 8, her husband left her at her parental home on the pretext of allowing her to appear for a B.Ed examination. He subsequently did not return to take her back and allegedly vacated his rented accommodation in Banda....
