RLD dissolves UP state executive, retains prez Ramashish Rai
Lucknow, June 10 -- As part of a major organisational revamp in Uttar Pradesh, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) has dissolved its state executive committee, retaining the state president Ramashish Rai. The decision was taken unanimously during a meeting of the party's national executive committee held at the RLD central office in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The meeting, convened on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh, was presided over by Jayant Chaudhary, national president of the RLD and a Union minister.
After detailed deliberations on organisational matters, the party resolved to constitute a new state executive committee shortly with the aim of making the Uttar Pradesh unit "more effective, active and robust."...
