Agra, Oct. 28 -- A dreaded criminal, carrying a reward of Rs.1 lakh, died after being injured in an encounter with Etah police on Tuesday evening. The accused, identified as Virendra, had 53 cases registered against him in Agra, Mainpuri, Firozabad and Etah of murder, dacoity, loot and those under Gangsters' Act. A policeman was injured in the encounter and was undergoing treatment. Virendra had been to jail frequently and had come out of Etawah Jail on October 17 but looted an Etah trader on October 22. SSP Etah, Ilamaran G, told the media on Tuesday evening about the encounter which left Virendra injured. He was hospitalised but died during treatment, SSP Etah said. According to police, he was accompanied by another criminal who absconded during an encounter on Tuesday. Both were on a motorcycle stolen from Unnao, SSP Etah said....
