Religious leaders call for non-Hindu traders' ban at Jageshwar mela
Haldwani, July 10 -- A group of public representatives and local religious leaders has submitted a memorandum to the Almora district administration and the Jageshwar Temple Management Committee, demanding that non-Hindu traders be barred from setting up stalls during the upcoming annual Shravani Mela at Jageshwar Dham.
The signatories included Pooja, village head of Phulai Jageshwar; Munni Pandey, BDC member from Mantol Gunth; Mukesh Bhatt, president of the local trade union;and others.
