PRAYAGRAJ, June 8 -- Anticipating a large influx of candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) Constable Recruitment Examination-2026 on June 8, 9 and 10, the Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway (NCR) has put in place comprehensive measures to facilitate smooth travel and efficient crowd management. A dedicated war room has been established at the divisional headquarters, with senior officials deployed to monitor the situation and coordinate passenger services. Railway authorities have also kept special examination trains on standby and are prepared to run them if passenger footfall increases significantly during the examination period, officials said. Amit Kumar Singh, public relations officer, Prayagraj Division, said additional train rakes have been stationed at Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Aligarh Junction, Etawah and Mirzapur. These can be pressed into service at short notice to operate special trains whenever required. The division has drawn up a comprehensive action plan covering crowd management, ticketing, security and passenger amenities at major stations. Additional staff have been deployed at key stations, including Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Aligarh Junction, Tundla and Mirzapur, while station activities will be monitored round the clock through CCTV surveillance. Railway authorities have also ensured adequate staffing at ticket counters and enquiry booths, activation of public announcement systems, and additional deployment of personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP). Railway employees have been directed to assist candidates and provide necessary guidance at stations and platforms.
