LUCKNOW, Sept. 9 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in his parliamentary constituency on Tuesday for a two-day visit. The visit comes amid Gandhi's continued focus on issues concerning students, governance and public accountability. Gandhi landed at Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in the afternoon, where he was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajai Rai and senior party leaders, including PL Punia, Deepak Singh, Kishori Lal Sharma, Syed Asim Waqar and other leaders. Waqar, a former AIMIM spokesperson, recently joined the Congress in New Delhi. He left for Rae Bareli, where he will meet local traders. Gandhi will meet bullion traders, representatives of the Chemists Association, newly elected office-bearers of the Bar Association and sportspersons at the MP residence in Bhuemau, Rae Bareli Congress president Pankaj Tiwari said. On Wednesday, Gandhi will meet party workers and local residents before dedicating several development projects to the people.
