Lucknow, Oct. 3 -- The Public Works Department (PWD) has proposed Rs.20 crore for comprehensive road and service-lane repair work covering 46-km (to and fro) of the deteriorating road surface of Shaheed Path. More than one lakh vehicles use the route daily. PWD has already started filling the potholes as an immediate measure. However, officials said patch repairs have left the road surface uneven, prompting the department to plan a more extensive bituminous resurfacing of both carriageways.
