Meerut, Sept. 2 -- The Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) will open a dedicated portal in two phases to facilitate correction and resolution of electricity billing-related grievances of farmers having private tube-well (PTW) connections in Hapur district, officials said on Tuesday.The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by PVVNL managing director Ravish Gupta to examine complaints concerning incorrect electricity bills issued to farmers. Hapur district magistrate Kavita Meena was also present at the meeting.According to the discom, the portal will remain open for applications during two specified periods. The first phase will run from September 15 to September 30, 2026, while the second phase will be held from October 15 to October 30, 2026. Gupta directed officials to ensure a simple, transparent grievance mechanism and early resolution of applications.
