GORAKHPUR, March 26 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Opposition, asserting that a "punctured cycle" cannot compete with a government running at "bullet-train speed." He was addressing a workers' dialogue programme at Baba Gambhir Nath auditorium in Gorakhpur on the theme "Nine Years of Unprecedented Development and Sustained Prosperity in Uttar Pradesh." "The current government runs at bullet-train speed. A punctured cycle cannot compete with it. When we move at double speed, the puncture will remain a puncture and collapse permanently," he said, in an apparent reference to the Opposition. The CM also stated that the BJP became the first party in the state to return to power with a two-thirds majority after completing a full five-year term, crediting party workers for their grassroots efforts. Referring to religious tourism, Adityanath said that Ayodhya has transformed into one of the world's most beautiful cities with the construction of the Ram temple.
