PRAYAGRAJ, March 21 -- State Jal Shakti minister and minister-in-charge of Prayagraj, Swatantra Dev Singh, addressed the media on Friday at Circuit House, highlighting the administration's progress in security, governance, and development. He also launched a sharp attack on the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) government. Singh said that during SP's tenure, Uttar Pradesh frequently witnessed bomb explosions orchestrated by criminals and terrorists. "Today, under the double-engine government, the air resounds not with blasts, but with chants of 'Har Har, Bam Bam'," he said. He added that Prayagraj, once troubled by hooliganism, is now safer, with residents feeling secure even late at night. The minister cited a dramatic rise in tourist footfall as an indicator of improved law and order and better infrastructure. Before the current government came to power, Prayagraj recorded approximately 4.25 crore visitors. Over the last nine years, he said, the conducive environment created by the administration helped this number surge to 70 crore. Later, the minister inaugurated a nine day exhibition at the District Panchayat auditorium showcasing the government's development initiatives. A short film highlighting key projects was also screened on the occasion.htc...
