Prayagraj doc booked for molesting student
PRAYAGRAJ, April 3 -- An FIR was registered on Thursday at Civil Lines police station against Dr Kartikeya Sharma, a neurosurgeon, following allegations of molestation by a 24-year-old BA student. The complainant, a Dhoomanganj resident, was sent for a medical examination, police said.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10.30 pm on Wednesday at Dr Sharma's Clive Road residence, where he also runs his clinic. The student had visited with her brother for treatment. She alleged that the doctor behaved indecently, forced her to remove her clothes, and touched her inappropriately. When she protested, he allegedly threatened her.
Her brother, who had briefly left the clinic, returned to find a commotion and was informed of the incident. Police confirmed the FIR and said CCTV footage is being reviewed.
Vidyut Goyal, ACP (Civil Lines) said that investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile, the student's family created a ruckus outside the doctor's house, and the clinic was reportedly locked by staff after the incident....
