Pratapgarh launches new pilot model for inclusive development
Prayagraj, March 23 -- Pratapgarh district in the Prayagraj division has introduced a new pilot development model to boost growth and improve its image. The initiative aims to use the district's location, natural resources, and industrial potential for overall progress.
District magistrate Shiv Sahay Awasthi said that a new body called the Rising Pratapgarh Society has been formed under the DM's office. This society will play a key role in guiding and supporting development activities in the district.
The new model focuses on inclusive growth. It aims to involve people from all sections of society. The society will work to inform and empower local residents about opportunities. It will also connect with successful people from Pratapgarh who are working outside the district. In addition, it will encourage greater public participation in government schemes.
Officials said that Pratapgarh has struggled with its public image for a long time. This has affected industrial investment, despite the district having strong potential. Pratapgarh is located between major cities such as Lucknow, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj. It is well connected by railways, highways, and the Ganga Expressway.
The district's economy is mainly based on agriculture. It produces crops like amla and mango. However, overall development has been slow.
Under the new plan, focus will be given to sectors such as logistics and hospitality. Pratapgarh already has five industrial areas and estates, which show its industrial capacity. A two-day investment conclave is also planned in May to attract investors and boost development.
Officials said that the Rising Pratapgarh Society has already started working on its goals. It has also involved people from education, business, and entrepreneurship to support the district's growth....
