PM likely to take part in a women's event in Kashi on April 28
VARANASI, April 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to take part in a programme dedicated to women empowerment in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on April 28.
Uttar Pradesh Bharthiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh on Sunday reviewed the preparations of the upcoming programme. He asked local party members, including those of Mahila Morcha, to ensure a large number of women participate in the event scheduled to be held at BLW ground.
Interacting with the party's Mahila Morcha office-bearers, Singh appealed to them to engage in the preparations with full vigour and diligence to make the event a living embodiment of women's empowerment.
He further said the April 28 programme will unequivocally establish that the women of India are fully capable of assuming leadership roles.
Singh said the PM has dedicated the Centre's schemes and policies towards the economic prosperity and social upliftment of women.
Attacking the opposition parties for blocking the women's quota bill in Parliament, the BJP leader said the Samajwadi Party and the Congress did so due to their anti-women agenda....
