PM guided India through period of significant growth, reform: CM Dhami
Dehradun, June 11 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, congratulating him on completing 12 years of leadership at the Centre and describing his tenure as transformative for the country's development, governance, national security and global standing.
In the letter, the chief minister conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the people of Uttarakhand, noting that Prime Minister Modi has become the country's longest consecutive serving elected PM and has guided India through a period of significant growth and reform.
Dhami said that under the "Prime Minister's leadership, India has achieved unprecedented milestones in development, good governance, national security, cultural renaissance and international recognition".
The chief minister highlighted several flagship welfare programmes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, stating that these initiatives had brought positive changes to the lives of millions of citizens across the country.
Dhami also referred to major policy initiatives such as the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, Digital India, the National Education Policy 2020, implementation of the Goods and Services Tax system and efforts to promote indigenous defence manufacturing. Meanwhile, Dhami also directed officials to organise a series of public outreach, awareness and welfare programmes across Uttarakhand to mark the occasion of Prime Minister Modi becoming the country's longest-serving elected prime minister....
